A time for everything

Snowball viburnum

Monday
It was a mainly grey day today, with on and off showers, but we managed to fit a bike ride between the showers in the afternoon. Rather than going to our usual bike trail, however, which is largely shaded, and so doesn’t dry off so quickly, we decided to drive over to Miami Whitewater, and cycle the Shaker Trace trail, which is more open, and was largely dry except for a few areas. It’s only 8 miles, but does have a few gentle ups and downs. I didn’t stop to take any pictures on our bike ride, since we thought we had a limited period without rain, but by the time we got back to the car, there was a little clearing, so we put the bikes in the car, and went for a short walk around the harbor area, where I took this picture of the beautiful Snowball viburnum. The morning had been spent doing laundry, ironing, and a little reading and Duolingo Italian, which had been neglected while we were on holiday in Florida.
