A Difficult Day

My dad's in the hospital tonight....my blip is very late and I don't have the wherewithall to write much. I spent a couple of hours in the garden late this afternoon trying to ground myself. I expect that the family has some tough times coming up. 

This lovely Iris tenax is native to the coast of Oregon (and the PNW in general I'd guess) and my patch of it was glowing in the late afternoon sun today. I'm so grateful to you all for your support and presence in my life. Apologies for my absence from your journals...I'll be back soon. You bring me such joy.
