A Day Of Weather

Mr Flum collected me from the hairdresser's and we headed for East Lothian in search of coffee and/or lunch. Our two favourite places, in Aberlady, where the main photo was taken and Gosford seemed to be closed but we remembered enjoying a lunch at the Old Clubhouse in Gullane and found ourselves well pleased once more. Seated outdoors it was interesting to eat Cullen Skink while holding an umbrella against the short shower but the repast was worth protecting, indeed, the best Skink I have ever eaten.
We watched the sky, an ever-changing display of cloud and trails of precipitation, expecting worse but were spared.

We then nipped into North Berwick for a tour of charity shops and stroll on the West Beach, where an even more threatening cloud passed (see extra).

Then, once home and relaxing with coffee, the sky opened to throw a ton of hailstones over the garden - just the ordinary size, however, not the monsters that Texas suffered yesterday!
