Christmas

Long morning of virtual meetings -- variety of different things but all went well. After a sandwich lunch in the garden with Kt and Heston I headed off to see P. He was on jolly good form, here opening a Christmas present for Diesel (who was more interested in the paper and the opening process than he was in the rope and ball toy inside!)
We chatted about his 'to do' list which seems to take all his time to write and think about....he said several times that he didn't have time to get round to any of the jobs on it! C came to take DIesel for his afternoon's walk. She's so good - also has become his cleaner and the place was, for a change, looking sparkling. She'd done some shopping for him and bought him a cake for my visit so we had tea and cake whilst she was out. He gave me some presents too including passing on a little cup with the Llandudno coat of arms painted  on the front and inside a portrait of a King somehow baked into the china base....I'll maybe try and blip it one day as it's quite unusual. He said he'd had it given to him as a child so it must have some history behind it, but he knew nothing about it. I'll do some research!
Chatted more about his garden, him going out more often now to the supermarket and the pet shop, hairdresser and dentist so he seems to have his confidence back which is good.
Home and we went to a pub in Chichely for supper. Managed to find enough sun to sit in, and to keep warm enough to not need the blankets we'd taken with us. Was nice to be cooked for and seems a good place to go back to another time.
Home and watched the dog house programme - on the day that A had taken N to see Paisley the dog at the rescue centre. As expected he was also besotted, so once they've had a home visit they should be taking her home....
