Dianthus

It was snowing as we walked to the polling station this morning!

This is a plant I bought last week. I wanted to practise something I had seen in an RPS Zoom Tutorial with Celia Henderson. She has been encouraging us to create our own colour swatches that we can use to create backgrounds.

I'm busy so can't fiddle with it anymore. Its a bit grungier than I wanted but the exercise has been useful. I'm really looking forward to the more advanced set of tutorials on Brushes, Textures and Backgrounds. She's such a good tutor and patient when I had to hold things up while I got sorted.
