Male Pheasant ( Phaianus colchicus )

Almost everytime you look out of one of our windows there is a Pheasant inview.  Often is is the three females today it was one female and the Cock Pheasant.    At this time of year males of most species are looking their best in new breeding plumage.   The pheasant is no exception, the ear tufts seem so much more prominent at this time of the year.

The afternoon was spent working on a much needed clear out deciding what was to go to charity and what to recycling.
