Atop a tree, texting..

Sunshine and showers today so I kept nipping in and out to feed the plant pots and mow the grass.  This morning, three cheery chappies in high vis arrived looking for a tree to take down.  We like our trees up here but this one has been a thorn in the side of several neighbours for years.  It is a Christmas tree put out many moons ago and it has grown extremely high and become a problem to surrounding gardens and light alike.  It is the wrong tree in the wrong place.  Thankfully, the magpies I mentioned in an earlier blip, had given up on nesting in it, which is no surprise, so the orange team were good to go.  It took them no time at all to do the business, such that the guy with the chainsaw got ahead of the team clearing away the debris, so he stopped to do a bit of texting!

A few moments ago a huge black cloud crossed the village followed closely by a very heavy rain shower.  The Hobblers are out soon so I'm hoping we don't get another one!
