Anne's Daily Encounters

By dutchdelight

Mothersday with my sons

We'd agreed on walking together today and counted ourselves lucky weatherwise. It rained when we drove up to the dunes West of Haarlem, the Kennemerduinen, but that stopped eversince our arrival. And the temps were mild with 22°C. There were other walkers and runners and cyclists in the dunes, but certainly not many, that is we didn't meet many.

We did see a group of deer and some hares were running by close from us; we enjoyed the encounters with the animals lots. After dropping my eldest son at Amsterdam, we drove West to our homes and ended up in a thunderstorm before we'd arrived home. The bombardment of  raindrops was impressive plus the thunderclouds and lightning up of the sky. We got home alright.
