Rain approaching

We set off for a bike ride in sunshine, and the forecast (according to the BBC weather at that time) did not mention any rain for today.
As soon as we got beyond Wetherby things were looking a bit ominous. Today's blip shows stormy skies above the village of Walton, with a carpet of yellow rapeseed in the foreground. After this we got well and truly soaked! A take away coffee at the watermill cafe in Knaresborough and a bench by the river was the setting for our sandwiches later on.

All of this excitement followed from an altercation earlier on when we encountered a rather foulmouthed dog walker with at least 6 dogs, some on lead, some not. Fortunately I was going slowly, but a black labrador escaped and hurled itself at my front wheel. I really don't see how anyone can walk six dogs at once and expect to be able to keep proper control of them. No damage to the bike, and a grazed knee and shoulder for me.
