A Rose for Mom
Just when we thought things were settling down a bit, we had word that my mom's best friend (who lived in her retirement community) died this morning. Fortunately all three of us sisters were there, so we all cried with my mom and hugged her and held her hand. We all rallied after a bit, but like mom said, it's just not fair.
I did manage to play 9 holes with my dear friends late this afternoon - it felt even a little bit normal, expect that I am so darned tired. May tomorrow be a better day.
Here's a rose for mom from my garden - this is David Austin 'Carding Mill'. Love this color.
Continued thanks for all of your wonderful support and virtual hugs.
