Noxious Weed

This is multiflora rose, an invasive introduced species, which is considered by many to be a noxious weed. That said - it's quite pretty and the bunches of it that are blooming now - and climbing all over trees alongside the hayfield along our path - certainly do smell rather nice and look quite pretty. Another invasive, Japanese honeysuckle, is starting to bloom now, and it smells DIVINE, so the air is rich with perfume when we walk in the mornings.
