Seas beneath Trees

Today, making the most of the sunshine, while avoiding the wind, we took a sheltered walk up Gallants Bower, near Dartmouth Castle. Views from the top are fantastic, looking across the sea at the mouth of the Dart in one direction, and up the Dart valley in the other. (See Extras.)

But we kept looking down, and all around, at the wealth of bluebells in flower. Really hard to pick one main blip. Chose this square selection as it shows the depth of bluebells beneath the trees. It's strange to find that South Devon is quite a way behind Lincolnshire, whose bluebells I blipped weeks ago. You'd think it would be the other way round, as Devon is so much further south. More bluebells in my Extras, too!
