and I was free

I have Closer to Fine by the Indigo Girls in my head. I am now free and will spend the next two weeks working to clear my head in anticipation of my new job. 

Ford has made its most successful truck electric. During the Texas snow outages two electric vehicles got a lot of credit for helping families through the crisis, Teslas and a Ford hybrid truck. Some people kept warm at night by sleeping in their Teslas. Some Ford hybrid 150 truck owners used their trucks as generators. They powered space heaters through an outlet in the back.

Now Ford is making the 150 completely electric. The base model will have over 300 miles of range. After the tax rebate it will cost about $32,500. The current one costs $29,000. People can use it as backup power for their houses. 

I think it is a game-changer. I think after what happened in Texas, demand is going to be huge. 

Because German is such an extraordinary language, so capable of expressing nuanced, difficult emotions, they have given the world "impfneid," or "vaccine envy."

The cicadas are now trying to enter our homes. This morning one was coming up the stairs. We have room for me and Samuel to go down, but apparently not room for me and Samuel and a cicada, but I put it back on its feet after we passed. My neighbor took an amazing picture of a cicada on her back screen door, looking right at her. 

I thought you'd prefer to see a bee.
