Miserable, wet, windy, cool day....can’t believe it’s May. Spent the morning at an online Board meeting then we tried to decide what to do..... not inviting to go outside though! Eventually we decided to go down to town in the hope that maybe it wasn’t as bad as it looked (it was!) but that at least we’d be able to go in and out of shops etc. We stopped in at the City Arts Centre to see their Joan Eardley centenary exhibition and were amused by the double act on the desk checking contact details etc. One was all for us waiting for the next timed slot and taking both our details, the other was amused by our reference to the exhibition and pointed out the four paintings behind him as the sum total of it and waved us through as he said we’d be in and out before the next timed slot started. I imagine their different approaches make for a tense shift together!
Bit of a wander around before our late lunch in Chez Jules. We had been going for their very cheap lunch deal but ended up having the steak and lobster then chocolate mousse which cheered and warmed us up!
Got the bus home and ended up just relaxing, chatting and watching the Halston series with the shutters closed against the grey and rain.
Hoping for better tomorrow
