Tiny Hearts for Ozzie

A friend who collects stones in the shape of hearts gave us this lovely little  one in memory of our dear Ozzie. The metal dish I put it on seems perfect for the stone and the combination seems a good combination of minerals for Tiny Tuesday. Many thanks to Freespiral for hosting this month.

This morning was spent on random chores when a walk  with Spike was cut short by tree cutters blocking the end of the road. They had a person in a high vis vest directing traffic, but I didn't want to walk under the big cherry picker bucket poised over the street. I paid some bills, sorted out a delivery date for a metal bar cart for the outside table area and tried to track down the the fancy cantilevered umbrella which is still AWOL.

Shipping, according to Matthew who relies on it for both manufacture and shipping of baseball equipment, is a disaster. Covid, container ships stranded in the Suez canal and trade disagreements with China were all mentioned. Since our umbrella is coming from Florida it didn't seem like much of a problem, but further investigation revealed that the manufacturers of the umbrella are short of parts like ribs on the center posts and frame parts on the cantilevers. Who knows where they are coming from....

I had my third private pilates equipment class today with the lovely Loni, and  she put me back together after my battles with the lemon tree. I also had a nice conversation with Sonya, one of the owners, as I was on the way out and she was trying to eat her lunch. We talked about their future plans for the studio as businesses begin to open up. It looks like they won't be moving mat classes back into the studio anytime  soon because of space restrictions. I will have to ponder the possibilities....They are trying hard to accommodate those of us who have been with them for a long time and stuck with them  through the lockdown. We all have to be flexible...this re-entry business isn't always easy....

Dinner at Salt & Stone for Jim's birthday tonight....
