The Guernsey equivalent to Victoria Falls...

This water feature is on the seafront near to a Co-op shop where I topped up my wine supply this morning.
But it was once the site of an historical meeting. When I retired I moved to the mainland but returned home in 2014 and lived in a flat in this complex. I was in touch with a friend from junior school and we kept saying we should meet up but never quite arranged it. One morning I was standing here waiting for a bus and my friend drew up in her car. We walked in slow motion across the footpath and embraced after years of separation!  We reckon that meeting after more than 50 years deserves a Blue Plaque. It’s right up there with “Dr Livingston I presume”
