Goodbye Drinks

Tomorrow we head to Harris. Normally that would be a cheery thought, but we kinda like it here in North Uist. And the weather has turned for the better as well, with a promise of a reasonable improvement over the next week, so we'd kinda like to see the Uists at their best.

Ah well, we'll just have to come back. So we toasted Eabhal after a more relaxed day (after yesterday's yomp) visiting a few places, and prepping for the transfer. Though that was after cycling to the pottery at the start of our road about 4 miles away (Mel hasn't cycled in ages, so this was a big thing); and before I blew up a kayak to go out onto Loch a'Ghoille in front of the cottage.

So not entirely inactive....

Oh, and we heard not one, but TWO Corncrakes, after driving at snail's pace a little north of RSPB Balranald, with the windows down, looking at promising long grass fields. Didn't expect to see them (and didn't), but been too long since I heard one :)
