Bell Court

After a bit of a damp start the day turned very nice, warm and sunny.

After lunch we went into Stratford to try coffee at another place! Bell Court is abuzz with people now, unlike the old days of Town Square. Cafes and Shops have sprung up and there is plenty of outside seating for people to enjoy a drink.  We bought a couple of takeaway coffees from MOR, an artisan bakery, and found a spot to sit in the sun and relax.

Across the way was the Everyman Cinema, unfortunately the Picture House couldn't compete and has now been completely demolished to make way for a Travel Lodge.  Below the cinema is a 'new' Oriental restaurant. I say new but it's actually been there since the start of the pandemic, but never had much of a chance to trade. Ever since Jimmy Spices closed there has been a need for a good buffet diner, I'll have to try it sometime and see what it's like.

This evening I cooked a risotto for tea which we had outside in the garden.  Has summer arrived?
