Scout Scar

We have had a bit of an emergency. J has forgotten an essential, her hairdryer.

So after breakfast we headed into our nearest town (Kendal) and to an out of town supermarket. A bit like Noah’s Ark, we now need two of some things. My first trip to a very large store, it was fine.

Afterwards, we took the road towards Underbarrow, parked and walked along part of Scout Scar. Fine views, in this image we are looking towards the Kent estuary. It was a bit hazy - there is real warmth in the air,

Most of the hawthorn is yet to flower, and the seemingly dead stunted trees are ash. Some are just starting to leaf. Spring is a bit later in his place.
