Poppy

An ornamental poppy has appeared in our garden and we don't know where it has come from. It is not a flower that either of us particularly likes but we have to admit that it does look rather resplendent and fills a space that we are yet to decide the planting for. My extra is an exploration of the structure of the petals.
It was very misty this morning until about 11 am and then the sun broke through to give us a sunny day with a fresh cooling breeze. Various garden tasks this morning and this afternoon Mary visited and collected some plants we had offered her. It was good to see her and have a long chat as contact has been limited throughout the last year.
