Sgwarnog: In the Field

Eggar

13yo is to thank for spotting this beauty crawling across the path on the moor. I thought it was a Fox Moth caterpillar at first, but after realising the markings were a bit different I’ve settled on the Northern/Oak Eggar moth. For another angle, see extras.

We had a nice walk out to Sconce and back. Proper t-shirt weather. The cuckoo was calling clearly. The farmers were mowing which meant a few Red Kites were in attendance hoping for extra carrion.

And there was a bonus Brimstone butterfly in the graveyard, we don’t often get this this far up the hill.
