On the road again

Today we set off on a little holiday.  We used to live in Napier and have lots of friends there, one of whom turned 60 today and is having a party on Saturday night to celebrate.  That gave us an incentive to plan a holiday long enough to enable us to catch up with as many friends as possible. The collage shows views from our six-hour journey from Auckland to Napier.  The top photo is of the Kaweka Ranges on the Napier-Taupo road (we were travelling Taupo to Napier); the colourful wall is outside the café in Tirau where we stopped for lunch; below that is the boat harbour in Ahuriri, Napier; and the tall photo is of a line of Pou (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pouwhenua ) at the side of the new Huntly bypass in the Waikato district.
