Community gardens

One of the first things we did when we came to Saint-Malo was to help a local group build some compost bins. The group mostly works during the working week so not so good if you have a job, and then COVID hit so we've been a bit isolated anyway. Recently my wife has been helping out with them again, and today on our way to the supermarket we passed one of the gardens she is working with at the moment - pictured here.

There is a storage room far right, then a basketball court, then the community meeting room and an office for the staff, next there is the glass house / winter working room, and then finally at the end there is a the open space The garden still needs working on, but so far it looks pretty good. We've given them a load of old slates which they are using for labels.

After galette and crêpe for lunch (we are in Brittany) we went to the library and then to town. On the way back we took a slightly different route to normal, which cost me 94€ when my wife spotted something she has been looking for in ages that was back in stock....!
