Turned back

Drove back to the city; not early nor late. Able to take the shortest route as it was a bit of a lull in the traffic. Met with the electricians, who are putting in more power points and changing some of the lighting which is very 1970s, which means only wall mounted lights in the main living area. Both of us want some light in the centre of the room as well.

Then a little bit of a saga in choosing things for the upgrade of the upstairs (tiny) bathroom. Went to the wrong place; the manufacturer. Redirected to a retail outlet. Went to one in New Lynn; but they also only serve the trade. Finally found the right place to be at and had a very attentive and helpful assistant, who made the best of his having to fill in for the showroom manager who was having an extra long long weekend with today off as well.

Back north, where I was able to get in a jog on the small bits of sand not covered by the incoming tide, before I headed up Amanda Lane to Mahurangi East Road, and back to Fidelis.Felt my tiredness by the end.

My blip was taken through the leaves of a Pohutukawa, at the point where I decided that the water was too far in to make continuing around the point to Fidelis Beach an enjoyable option. The sun fell below the horizon less than a minute after I took this photo.
