Figs at Fall of Day

Figs supposedly don't need watering, but it was SO hot today I felt sorry for them, and gave them a drink.

Have started a small lasagne bed in the garden, here is an English version of this American method of gardening, there are loads of videos about it; Oriane told me about it. Seems like it might be a great way of making soil.

Also planted out the sunflowers, one thing they won't lack is sun. As usual, more rocks than soil.

My laptop screen is absolutely covered in bugs - it's the only light on in the house, apart from a citronella candle - so am giving up and going to bed. Without reading, which is a grief.

Gratefuls:
- really fancied spaghetti with tomato sauce for lunch, and that's what I made, with loads of garlic and red peppers, basil and purslane from the garden, and parmesan shavings on top, here for the start of it
- getting in touch with loads of folk
- a long chat with Oriane, she's finding it hard
