Courgettes planted

I’ve finally managed to get the two courgette plants that AndrewFH gave me planted in the ground.  I’ve been nursing them along and giving them lots of TLC in slightly bigger pots before giving them a week or so to harden off.  I think they probably suffered when we had the spell of very cold nights.  They are looking good now and I think they will do OK.  I’ve planted them in lots of revitalised old compost and I’m sure they’’l do better in the ground than they did in grow bags last year (a terrible year and very expensive grow bags)!.

Butterflies in the garden:  one male Brimstone and one Small Copper - both fluttered over the garden and were quickly gone.
