Ferdinand

One of my favourite roses is Ferdinand Prichard. It isn’t a very strong bush, but it flowers faithfully year after year.
A very hot day today so not much gardening. I still have yet to go round the pots with the hose, quite a pleasant job once it cools down a bit.
I cooked the roast today for Sunday lunch, half a shoulder of lamb. N is glad that I am back to cooking again, although he still does his share.
It is my son J’s birthday today. I phoned this morning but got voice mail. Now they have gone out for the day. Maybe I will get a chance to chat this evening.
