Scarborough Fair

Scarborough Fair is a strange name for a rose, especially one as delicate as this. The blooms have all come out in the last week and are already wilting in the hot dry weather we have had in the last week.
A gardener called Denis visited this afternoon to give us an estimate for helping in the garden. It is really depressing me that I can’t look after it, and I think he will be able to offer the help I need. He was brought up in my home village, but very many years later!
