Feeding time for young swallows

This morning F and I went for a walk along the canal towpath and footpaths.  It was very hot so we kept the walk short and shady but were still exhausted by the heat.

The highlight was seeing three young swallows branched (left the nest but not independent) and being fed by their parent(s?)  Unfortunately every time that the youngsters were fed the parent hid them with their wings so I couldn't get a decent shot.  This one is a record shot of a lovely time spent watching them.

We got back to my house, had something to eat and watched England beat Croatia in The Euros before he went home.
