Whipman

West Linton today. Glorious sun, lashings of suncream, a picnic, and a walk around a wild garden. You couldn't get much more summery.

Nearly forgot to mention the moth man, or lepidopterist, at the garden. He had collected more than 30 different species of moths in the garden the night before, and showed them to us. They'll be released tonight. The most spectacular was the pink Elephant Hawk-moth ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deilephila_elpenor). H now has a Moth poster up on her wall.

This town usually has an annual festival (https://www.whipman.com/) that was cancelled this year. Their green instead features lots of cut-out riders on horseback, decorated by various local groups. Loved the expressions!
