A garden day

An average day  - dull, breezy, dry; I can't complain. Apart from a quick visit down town this morning I've spent the day tinkering in the garden. Cleaning up hundreds of used pots and putting them away, weeding willow herb off the bank, raking leaves down by the road and pruning an already much-pruned sycamore stump growing up inside a hawthorn. Sycamore would take over the world given the chance! This one has always looked green, but only when I cut the stems off and turned them to the light did the purple undersides show. Even a sycamore can be interesting!

Quote of the Day:

Albert Einstein – “The leaves and the light are one.”
