From Castlehead

Holiday Day 12
Time to go home after a great break, but time for a run from Mum's before we went.
Castlehead summit is less than half a mile from her house and the view from the top could be in the top ten Lakeland views. It's a steep climb but I actually managed to run it - though walking might have been quicker!
I love the colours on the hills across Derwentwater as the sun was beginning to break through the clouds. I then descended to the lake through the woods and back via (almost) Friar's Crag.
Rather windy drive home but back in time to tea and a survey of the garden, which was beginning to resemble a wilderness. Unfortunately there was also a sad find. A dead fox cub, which had got tangled up in some netting - the only bit in the garden that could have happened. It isn't where the foxes usually play so something must have attracted it to the area. Note to self, just grow the beans up poles as I used to do.
