Palais Royal Courtyard

In the center of Paris, this wide quadrangular space is occupied by an installation of columns--nicely geometric. In the distance (best seen in large) is a wedding couple in the process of being photographed--I didn't notice them while taking the shot, but it provides a nice reprise of a much nearer blip taken very nearby at the Palais Royal metro. NB: I've put this in B&W; it had just some blue reflected in the windows.

Beforehand I went to an exhibition on Vasarely (1906-97) not far away, at the Musée en Herbe. The museum is oriented toward children, but I found the exhibition interesting and enjoyable, with a wide range of works, and lots of children and their parents in attendance (it's school vacation time in Paris).
