A view from Jeanneb

In the moment

A long drive up to Fife where we crossed to St Andrews and stopped for an early afternoon coffee and cake. We had a stroll down Market Street to The Scores and the view across the bay and the golf courses. Lovely and sunny again with blue skies.

Having not been to any shops for quite some time we did pop into Seasalt as I had invoices to claim on my reward card. The lady did say they should be claimed within 28 days but she took into account Lockdown and gave me the stamps. I now have a £20 giftcard to look forward to using. Couldn’t resist Waterstones either, haven't been in since September when we stopped over in Shrewsbury on our way to Eda’s 3rd birthday. Couldn’t resist making purchases there but again I had rewards to use on my card from online buying during lockdown.

After a pleasant couple of hours we headed over the Tay Bridge to Dundee, not very far at all but the same blue skies and sun were accompanied but a very cool wind. We got chatting to someone who lives here but is from England and she said it happens a lot in the evening. We got talking as we discovered the NHS app doesn’t work here in Scotland so I was asking if we could download something else but she said there wasn’t anything that worked properly - so much for NATIONAL.

We are staying on the newly developed quay but more of that tomorrow. Being in Dundee we had to go and find Desperate Dan from the comic Dandy, produced here for many years. As I approached, this little Scots ‘warrior’ was getting his picture taken with Dan. Couldn’t resist taking it and using it for blip. If anyone doesn’t know Scotland are playing England tonight in the Euros.

Off for Cow Pie now and I think we will keep our heads well below the parapet!
