The Marton Arms

I met old Uni friend Pauline at The Marton Arms for lunch to be followed by a walk. The pub was suffering from lack of staff, untrained staff, lack of chefs or problems in the kitchen. It took 90 mins to get 2 cheese sandwiches. Luckily it was sunny, we were sitting in the garden and had lots to catch up on . This seems to be a common problem in pubs since things opened up. They are missing their European waitress and bar staff. 
Apparently Conan Doyle got married in the church in the village
