Young Conkers

I walked to the pharmacy in the village this morning and took today’s picture, on my iphone, of some young conkers on the way home.
 
It has been cold and wet, more like the shortest day than the longest day, so I have done nothing outside and very little inside except catching up with various things including knitting.
 
The temperature at GMT noon was thirteen degrees Celsius.
