Ragged Robin

Before breakfast I had a walk around the park, looking at the changing flora. We were last here 2 weeks ago, and in that time the rate of growth has been phenomenal.

There are lots of orchids - common spotted I think. There are foot high blooms which I think are dropwort (too small for meadowsweet ?). And lots of this - ragged robin. It gives a pink tinge to everywhere it grows.

We have arrived home. Today has been the summer solstice. Midsummer to some. But it doesn’t feel like summer, the weekend sunshine is behind us and it’s been heavily overcast and quite cool. So of course the central heating is on.
