Very, Very Hot!!

It's currently 96F/36C outside and everyone and every plant is wilting!!! 

I had a great first day of my plant ID class(es) this morning (2 sections at 9 am and noon). When I was in the garden, on Zoom, around 12:45...part way into the class, it was so hot that my phone turned itself off and I lost the Zoom connection! I had to race inside to my cool desktop and log back in. They were all there, waiting for me :-) Phew!

This lovely Catanache or Cupid's Dart is a sweet perennial in the garden right now. It's quite well behaved and doesn't seem to mind the heat terribly.
