Lift off

A Little Wattlebird bursts into flight, disturbed by a passing photographer.  Little Wattlebirds are found around the east and south coast of Australia, roughly from Brisbane to Adelaide, and in Tasmania. The nectar of flowering plants, especially Banksias, is an important part of their diet. Wallum Banksias are in full flower in the heathland near Lake Ainsworth at the moment and the Little Wattlebirds are feasting.
