After the Storm…

This kinetic sculpture almost at the town centre area of the Taylor River depicts a “Spring Seedling”. The shortest day was yesterday so to me the Seedling is a Harbinger of spring weather to come.
Heavy rains emanating from the hills in the south east catchment of the Taylor River always bring the water levels up and causes flooding along the river berms. Maisie and I walked the paths from the Purkiss Street entrance to the river reserve all the way to the downtown area as far as the flooding allowed us. I wore high cut insulated boots whereas Maisie’s legs became very muddy.
