A time for everything

Sunrise over the garden hedge

Wednesday
We had more snow overnight - just enough to cover the grass, but from the look of the sunrise this morning you would have thought we were in for a pretty nice day. However, by late morning when I was heading to the "Y" to swim, the clouds had rolled back in and we had several more snow flurries through the course of the afternoon and evening. It was full house at the pool - I had to sit and wait for a few minutes even for a share in a lane. I guess the cold snowy weather had put people off doing any exercise outside! We had a decent turn out at choir practice in the evening. We've had rather thin numbers recently - one of the problems being that we lose people over winter, sometimes for a month or more, disappearing off to find the sun in Florida! One of them was back this week, and I think another should be back next week. We often go to Florida for a week, about this time of year, but we have had to fore-go that this year, having gone back to England for ten days in February for my brother-in-law's funeral.
