Open water swimming

This rather lovely tropical looking place is actually a massive lake near me where you can indulge in open water swimming over to the right side (out of shot) and do various water sports in the foreground. I’m really surprised at how clear the water is. I won’t be joining the swimmers any time soon as I definitely can’t swim the regulation lower limit of 300m, at least not yet. It’s a bit disappointing as I loved sea swimming when I was away recently and I want to keep it up but heyho.
Will have to build up in the local pool over the next few months and maybe give it a go next summer.
