Lessons Learned

Lessons today were about Biking and Protesting.
Went down to Bristol to attend a rally protesting at the prosecution of British troops, by the Northern Ireland judiciary, from 'The Troubles' in the 30 odd years from 1960's to 1998,
I've rattled on about that before so I won't do any more preaching. Needless to say, Lennon came along on the back of my bike. I asked him a couple of days ago, not sure he knew why we were going to Bristol but I knew he would enjoy the ride.
We started by meeting up with a couple of friends of mine in a layby between the A38 and Jct 13 of the M5 (Stroud). See extra, taken at the Memorial in Bristol, of the friends, not the layby!
We then rode down to 'Sea Walls', which is on top of the cliffs overlooking the river Avon as it speeds it's way, slowly, to the Bristol Channel. See another extra. I took one of the Clifton suspension bridge, designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, but the photo did not come out for some reason.
And for all of you that used to be mods, still are?, there were a few scooters around too, yet another extra.
At the Sea Walls we waited for the groups at the various RV's to arrive and then set off for Bristol City centre and the memorial. Here we had a short speech, pretty much thanking everyone for coming and donating to the cause that we were there for. Playing of the Last Post, 2 minutes silence broken by Revielle.
Bit of bother with my bike, alarm kept going and wouldn't start. Managed to fix it, turned out to be the battery in my keyless ignition fob. Took the battery out, reinstered it, and all was well. New batteries ordered from e-bay.
