What a difference a day makes

Yesterday we changed our plans again and when we woke to a nice sunny day it felt like we had a day off to chill before our journey continued. We picked up Brother in Law and while we were at lunch with him we heard Qld was going into lockdown. So we decided to pack up the van and head back to NSW before we were stuck. Everyone else had the same idea and we had awful bumper to bumper traffic all the way to the border, then freeway for about half an hour before rain, dark and unfamiliar windy roads. The caravan park receptionist waited for us which was kind, then we had to set up in the dark and rain. Phew. After thinking we were going to relax we actually had a very full day.

The blip is the Gateway Bridge over the Brisbane River (Brisbane). 6 lanes each way. Bob hates driving over it but it was about the best part of a long difficult journey.

We are now in Lismore.
