Rain...then sun!

I woke in the night sneezing badly, and realised I hadn't taken any hayfever meds yesterday. So was awake from 3.30 until 5am eventually dozing back off. When we woke at gone 8 it was raining, and cool with heavy mist. We took it slowly, and after breakfast played some card games. At midday it showed signs of stopping, so we put a picnic into my trust vintage picnic box, and headed up the coast. Aberporth was the first place we came to. £3 to park by the sea (an honest box!) And a beautiful bay. We sat and had our picnic, then wandered across the beach to get a cup of tea. The sun properly came out and it was warm again, which was very unexpected, so we took our chairs and books down the the beach for an hour. If we get a sunny day we will go back as it would be a nice beach for swimming.

We drove home via Newcastle Emlyn. It wasn't worth the bother, although we had an interesting 20 minutes in an antiques.

Some housework done (emptied toilet/filled water/washed up) then I went to have a nice shower while Jon made dinner. The sun has stayed out all afternoon now, so fingers crossed for more tomorrow.

Now wine, chocolate and games!

And no, we didn't watch the football, or even listen on the radio!! (But the man in the caravan nextdoor told us 'we' won) :-)
