Like a Kid in a Candy Store

Very hot but sunny all day. At one point, it was at least 99 deg F. Up early, and finished packing to head home. I got side tracked watching turkeys, crows, blackbirds, blue jays, a squirrel and a bunny play outside my bedroom window. But I missed Momma deer and her two fawn who were out there yesterday. We still got on the road earlier than usual. Stopped for lunch, to shop for those who took care of our kitties, fill up the gas tank and briefly to get a few groceries for the week. We pulled into our drive at 5:40 pm. Happily, we have unpacked everything that was crammed in our car which means we can meet tomorrow without dread. My granddaughter loves Swedish fish candies so that’s what we bought from these shelves. It was hard to stop with only one container. The other side of the display had every kind of chocolate covered nut and fruit. I also bought apple cider donuts for my grandson and daughter, their fav. They will receive other compensations as well. To thank hubby for all his driving, we bought a lemon crumb pie, his choice. It was hard to leave the farm but is great to get back to the rest of the crew who always look out for our kitties and home as we reciprocate when needed. “Everyone needs a house to live in, but a supportive family is what builds a home.” -Anthony Liccione
