In the garden July 1st.

As usual, I was in the garden before breakfast. Spent most of the time out there yesterday trimming the hedges and shrubs, then mowing the grass.
Stephen did the top lawn.
He also spent some time clearing out the weeds which had merrily festooned the border nearer the summerhouse, which is just filled with shrub roses and one standard type.
He’s confessed to feeling satisfied at the end result, but finds the means to the end is boring!
The air is very still out there and pleasantly mild.
