Splash of colour

This makes a lovely splash of colour at the front door.

I had an early start to get Ian to the train station so was at my desk by 7am.

It was a non pupil day for Leo so he made the most of a nice sunny day. He started off first thing with a Gym session and then headed out again to meet his mates. He was out for hours and I think they played endless football - knockout Wembley!

Then when he got back he walked his bike around to his mate’s house. His mate is a keen BMX competitor and has a bike workshop at home so they gave Leo’s long unused bike a service to make it as good as new. Now he heads out with his mate’s more, this means he will be able to get everywhere quicker. A few of his mates live in the surrounding villages so often they all whizz in and out on their bikes when they all meet for a footie session. Leo has been jogging down to meet them but he reckons this will make life easier. He said he really enjoyed the ride back from his mate’s - think it helped cool him down on a hot day!

As I had an extra early start to the day, I had a longer leisurely lunch break. Mum, dad and I headed to out favourite farmshop cafe for a nice treat.

Leo was exhausted when he got back from his bike ride so lounged on the sofa to watch the footie for the rest of the evening.
