THE ADMIRAL ARRIVES

The Red Admirals always seem to be the most fearless of the butterflies, and I've found that as they fly around in an approximate circle when disturbed, if I stand still with a hand extended they'll sometimes land on it  when they return. Perhaps it's the warmth that attracts them. We inspected each other for a minute or two, and perhaps my close-up face is appearing on a butterfly equivalent of blipfoto somewhere in the universe.

I've ordered another camera  - it's going to be quite a change for me. Another compact, but considerably less compact than my little pocket-sized Panasonic. I really must make an attempt to learn how to use the manual settings when it comes.
