Collybrook Falls

It's always great to discover a new waterfall. We don't have falls of great height for the  most part although I can think of a couple of man-made ones.. These little falls are nestled in a wooded valley near Peter Tavy, Tavistock on the western edge of Dartmoor. I met up with my photo pal, John in Peter Tavy and they proved quite easy to find. With lots of mossy rocks down in the river it did seem a bit difficult getting around and there's lots of bracken to get in the way.

After a mixed morning of showers coming through we were quite lucky that we had a nice dry spell while we were there. After a couple of hours we went back to the pub in Peter Tavy and had a good meal there. Our intention was to go to Brentor for sunset but the rain set in and although we went to take a look it seemed clear that there was unlikely to be any let up and headed home.

My main blip is a close up of one of the falls and I've added an extra of the same falls but from a little farther away.
